Furthermore, you confuse sex with gender. My gender is male, my sex, well we would have to look at my chromosomes to find that out wouldn't we? Be happy living between genders, but don't promote things that just aren't natural (i.e. a man having a baby) just for the sake of publicity. Thomas Beatie isn't bad because he's "living between genders". He's bad because he only let people know about his pregnancy for attention, money and publicity. And that's all that I have to say about this person's motivations. You are absolutely correct re: the impact and perceptions of your community as a result of this person's actions. If you are going to live your life as a man then you should do as a man does and not exploit your legal status for your personal gain. It invites hatred, lack of compassion and understanding and makes one look like a freak show. Furthermore, I I( and I am sure many others) would like to see the laws changed so that legal males cannot mix the issues like this. Thomas Beatie knows full well and appreciates the fact that SHE is a woman. Believe it. Right now she is laughing all the way to the bank. Beard, vaginally birthed baby and all.
