Sarah Palin is despicable, but she's also an embarrassment to the Republican Party. We have nothing to fear. Obama is the next President of the United States. The McCain/Palin ticket doesn't have a chance.

Help get out the Obama vote. Let's make this a landslide victory.

Sylvia,

I dont believe that Sarah Palin is interested in learning about us, her goals and ideals are religeous based and hard encoded in the type of person she is. I have serious realistic doubt that she is capable of warming to Transegendered.

Thanks for your post Sylvia. Some things to think about.

I actually minored in political science in college. I could never be a politician though and never would want to be. It is a heartless, sometimes even soul-less job. I just don't have the heart for it.

I'm too creative for that. I'm planning to go back to school to finish a degree in film instead. I plan to get my thoughts/messages out to the public in that way.

I'm am always amazed at how there are a multitude of individuals who can point out the hatred in others yet ignore the animosity in their own hearts. Yes there are ignorant individuals who base beliefs on nothing more than personal truths. It wasn't long ago that black individuals were encouraged to go back to Africa. I'm sure that the island thought was also there as well. Let's not forget the extermination idea. These people were here then and they will be here in the future.

As to Ms. Palin, once again the hate mongers are out in force. She is a major threat. She alone could beat anyone if the panic says anything. I remember a time the hate mongers fought tooth and nail to prevent women from even voting. Amazing how the hate mongers keep loosing. Loss #1 black people are here and contribute tremdously. Loss #2 women vote and hold high political office. Loss #3 I am TS and have been protected by state law and amazingly my employer has found that I am fantastic at my job. The list goes on.

Bottom line hate is always going to be here, but learning defeats ignorance. Those who hate diminish until a new target is created. You can be afraid of Sarah Palin or you can teach others about those who are transgendered. Eventually, even politicians learn to change for their own political future or face getting voted out.

Sarah started small in politics why don't you?

Thanks for posting Hayley!

Actually, we're both "technically" wrong. According to Snopes:

Sarah Palin did ask the librarian, at least three times, what would she do if she was asked to remove "objectionable" material from the library. While nothing was ever removed, it certainly is questionable as to what her motivations behind this were!

I agree with just about everything you've said, however the allegation that she attempted to ban books was identified as a hoax and not true. I would leave that one out. All the rest, i'm with you on. I was all set to vote for McCain, simply because of his foreign policy stance, however Palin has changed it for me.
