Body Care Review: N Pour Moi After Shave

In my last N Pour Moi review I commented on how it was nice to review all natural products. Like the Shaving Cream, the N Pour Moi After Shave is an all natural product. Available in four fragrances, you can choose from Natural, Fresh Citrus, Light Lavender, and Geranium Rose. I was sent Natural and I have to admit that I am happy about that because I think the other three would have heavily clashed with my normal scent.

N Pour Moi after shave is made from the following ingredients: Water, Emulsifying Wax, Glycerin, Aloe Vera, Witch Hazel, Oils (Sunflower Seed, Avocado, Tamanu), Citric Acid, Vitamin C, Vitamin E, Steric Acid, Potassium Sorbate, Silver Citrate, Vitamin A, Ferulic Acid, Fragrance.

All in all, this is by no means a terrible ingredient list. In fact, it’s quite good. I have no problems with what is used to make these products. My biggest problems are scent and price. After trying the Shaving Cream, and washing the smell off of my face as best I could, I dripped a few drops (this is a thicker consistency than standard after shave) into my hands and rubbed them together, as the directions mention that you should. Once you do this you massage it into your newly shaved skin.

I will admit that I prefer a more cologne scent to my after shave. My girlfriend prefers this, as well. I feel that having a manlier smelling after shave just adds another layer of scent to compliment my cologne. The N Pour Moi in Natural Scent does not offer a cologne based scent, which is fine as I wouldn’t assume that Natural would smell that way. However, it does have a generic scent that is hard to describe. It somewhat reminds me of one of the Indian spices that you smell when you enjoy Indian food. If I was eating, this might be fine, but it hardly works out with my cologne.

My other beef, perhaps the biggest of all, is with the price of N Pour Moi After Shave. A 2 oz. Bottle of N Pour Moi is $20. As I mentioned, I like to coordinate my scents. One of the scents that I am currently wearing that is easy to find is Euphoria by Calvin Klein. I went over to a main shopping website and looked up the After Shave. Calvin Klein sells their Euphoria After Shave in 3.4 ounce bottles. On average it runs for between $30 and $40. When you consider that you receive 1.4 more ounces, I’d be better off buying that and smelling good.

Having used products like the one I mentioned above and seeing no difference where my skin is concerned, it seems only natural to stick with the better option for me. That being said, it would be less than honest of me to recommend the N Pour Moi After Shave for purchase. I wouldn’t have bought this for myself, so I can’t say I recommend you buy it for yourself either.
